Few would consider a successful big-bucks corporate consultant
to be a caterpillar, but it turns out that's exactly what
Curt Yagi was. Dissatisfied with the grind and seeking meaning
in his life, Yagi, a part-time multi-instrumentalist who's
been in many bands, joined the nonprofit Real Options for
City Kids - which he now runs - and, completing his metamorphosis,
recorded a CD, "What's Come Over Me," that reveals
him to be a talented songwriter who sings a bit like Kenny
Loggins. Tonight is his CD release party. $10/$15. 8 p.m.
Jelly's, 295 Terry Francois Blvd., Pier 50, San Francisco.
